Newark ---Grace Fritz, 86, of Newark, died Sunday (February 24, 2013) while at her winter home in New Port Richey, Florida.

            Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. on Friday (March 1^st) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.  Father Felix Dalimpuo will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday (March 2^nd) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark.  Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

            Memorials, in her name, may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation of Central New York, 5005 Campuswood Drive, East Syracuse, New York 13057.

            Mrs. Fritz was born on December 6, 1926 in Newark, the daughter of the late Philip and Lena Snow Gianereco.  She was a 1944 graduate of Newark High School and Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing in 1947.  For many years, Grace worked in the offices of Drs. Palmeri, Potter, Rooney and Piro retiring in 1985.  She was a communicant of St. Michael Church and a member of the Rosary and Altar Society.

            Grace is survived by her husband  of 57 years, Rudolph “Rudy”; her children Richard (Deborah) of Cincinnati, OH, Kathryn (Thomas) Marshall of Fairport and Sarah (Peter) Schermerhorn of Cicero; five grandchildren Gregory (Tara) and Kurtis Fritz, Kailey and Connor Marshall, Stephen Schermerhorn; a great grandson Garrett Fritz; many cousins, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a grandson Jacob Schermerhorn.
