Newark---Hubert A. Siler, died on Tuesday (March 25, 2008), at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday (March 29th) at St. Michael's Church, 325 South Main Street, Newark.

Memorials in his name may be made to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Foundation, PO Box 571, Newark, New York 14513.

Mr. Siler was born on June 27, l930 in Newark, the son of John and Anna Vanderbrook. A 1950 graduate of Newark High School, he served with the US Air Force in Misawa, Japan during the Korean Conflict. Hubert was a member of the Newark Elks Lodge 1249, the August Mauer Post 285, American Legion and the Arcadia Memorial Post 2883, VFW. For over 30 years, Hubert worked at the Newark Post Office, where he had been a postal clerk. He retired in 1990. His great wit, humor and generosity will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret "Marge", two sons Mark (Lori) of Canandaigua and Steven (special friend Sara Todd) of CO., three granddaughters Lisa and Maria Siler of Rochester and Brandie Tillery of SD, a great grandson Hunter Tillery, two brothers Francis (Sue) and Richard (Delores) of Newark, several nieces and nephews. Hubert was predeceased by a sister Cora Johnston and a brother John Siler, Jr.
