Imogene DeCann
Newark---Imogene DeCann, 93, died May 16, 2006 at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11 AM on Saturday (May 20th) in East Palmyra Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Fairville Fire Department, Route 88, Newark, Newark, New York 14513.
Mrs. DeCann was born on November 24, 1912, in East Palmyra the daughter of Winfield and Edna Wicks Wallace. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Quilters Club. For many years, she had been a 4H leader.
She is survived by two daughters Jean (Wallace) Avery and Esther (Herland) Bouwens both of Newark, six grandchildren Lori Weimer, Butch Bouwens, Steven Avery, Susan Avery, Amy Colf and Julie Robinson, ten grandchildren, a great great grandson, a sister Thelma (Lansing) Goodall of Port Gibson. Mrs. DeCann was predeceased by her husband Leon in 1996 and three brothers and three sisters
The family is being served by Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home.
