Newark—James R. Johnson, 98, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at St. Michael Church, 401 South Main St., Newark, NY. Burial will be in Fairville Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson is survived by four daughters Joan (Edward) Gullo, Joyce (Don) Lester, Jean (Thomas) Bezon, Jane (Joseph) Monahan; a son James P. ( Sue) Johnson; thirteen grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Lucy in 2000; an infant son Robert; his brothers and sisters.
