Newark—Jean Santelli, 61, died Thursday (May 17, 2018) at the Pathway Home in Tyre
Friends may call on Monday (May 21st) from 4 to 7 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday (May 22nd) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
We ask that any donations be made in her name to Pathway Home, 1529 State Route 414, Seneca Falls, New York 13148 or The James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, New York 14642. A special thanks to you all for your care, compassion & devotion to her life and final days with her family.
Jean Santelli had many names and roles in her life, Jeanie, Jeanie Beanie, Mean Jean, MJ, the mommy, mom. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt & grandmother. Her presence lit up a room! She drew people in with her smile, compassion, kindness and love for life. The love she had for her family was unconditional and created a lifetime of special moments and memories for us all. Our fierce Jeanie's humor, laugh and isms will forever be her legacy and the best part of our broken hearts. Jean had worked for many years at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
She is survived by her husband John Santelli, mother and father Ann & Thomas VanEpps; two sons and their wives William & Bridget Keenan, Jr. her five grandchildren Scott, Zach, Madelyn, Mason & Max; Daniel & Kelly Finn and her two grandchildren Jack & Emily; two daughters and husbands Michelle Keenan and Christopher Eck; Jamie and Ryan Yarrow; two step-children and spouse Christoper and Allie Edmonds Santelli and her two grandchildren Richie and Grayson; Jennifer Santelli; an older brother and his wife Thomas & Janet VanEpps, Jr., niece and her husband Jennifer & Brian Lavigne, nephew & his wife Thomas and Jaime VanEpps, III, great nieces: Ann & Evelyn; a younger brother David VanEpps.
