Newark—Jerry Stallworth, 68, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the DeMay Living Center in Newark.
Friends may call on Tuesday February 2, 2021 from 4-7 PM at the Paul L. Murphy and Sons Funeral Home. Facemasks are required for entry. Funeral services will be private.
Jerry was born in Andulsia, Alabama on January 6, 1953 the son of the late Ella Stallworth and Calvin Thompson. He worked at Garlock and retired after 38 years of service. Retirement didn’t last long, he took a position as a moniter at Kelley School in Newark. He spent ten years at Kelley School. Jerry had been a member at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist in Lyons and St. Paul’s Full Gospel Church in Geneva.
Mr. Stallworth is survived by his wife Toni Jarmond Stallworth; a daughter Anisha Stallworth of Newark; six siblings Clydene Stallworth of Alabama, Calvin (Barbara) Stallworth of Alabama, Brenda Thompson of Newark, Eula Thompson of Alabama, Olivia (Dexter) Ricard of Georgia and Reginald (Erica) Thompson of Georgia; a mother-in-law Shirley Jarmond of Newark; brother-in-law King Lewis of Lyons; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and two siblings Carolyn Lewis and Lorenzo Stallworth.
