Newark ---John Daniel Malach, 67, died on Monday (May 18, 2009), at the Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media, Pa.

Friends may call from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM on Friday (May 22th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark, New York. Father Felix Dalimpuo will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Saturday (May 23rd) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark.

Memorials are suggested to St. Michael's School, 320 South Main Street, Newark, New York 14513.

Mr. Malach was born February 26, 1942 in Windsor, Canada, the son of John and Viola Karpinski Malach. He earned a Bachelors and his Masters Degree in Information Technology from RIT. He had worked at Xerox for over twenty-five years and for the last two and a half years has been a production manager at Boeing Integrated Defense Systems in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. John was a communicant of both St. Michael's Church in Newark and St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Essington, Pennsylvania. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1960 to 1968 and is a life member of the Marine Corps League. John was also a member of the August Mauer Post 283, American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Patricia, his children Katherine (Walter) Malach Crothers of Elko, MN, John (Michelle) of Mountain Top, PA, Joseph (Michelle) of Newark, Sarah ( partner Timothy Nokes) Malach of Pittsburg, PA; nine grandchildren, a sister Patricia (Joseph) Kokoszka of Detroit, MI, several nieces and nephews.
