                     John H. Robson

Newark --- John H. Robson, died, on Wednesday  (February 8, 2012) at the Newark Manor Nursing Home. 

  Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Friday

(February 10th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.  A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday (February 11th) at the funeral home with Rev. Dan Benedict officiating.  Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

  Memorials, in his memory, may be made the American Cancer Society, 1120 South Goodman Street, Rochester, New York 14620.

 Mr. Robson was born August 12, 1933 in Newark the son of the late John M. and Mabel Belle Elwell Robson.  For 16 years, he was the yard foreman at Phelps Cement, retiring in 1996.  Prior to that, John had worked at Gleason Works in Rochester and Caves Lumber in Newark.  A Korean Conflict veteran, he served a year and a half in Korea.  He was a member of the August Mauer Post American Legion and the Arcadia Memorial Post VFW.  John loved to hunt and especially enjoyed family trips to casinos

 He is survived by two sons John Jr.(Cheryl) of Newark and Guy (Christine) of Fairport.  He was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren Ashley, Amanda, Cole, Melissa, Allison and Kristy

 and three great grandchildren Loren, Aydin and Brynnan.  John was predeceased by his wife of 45 years Grace in 2003; three sisters Isabel DeTaeye, Josie  Rybak and Betty Evans.
