Newark---Joseph F. Greco, 70, died unexpectedly, on Saturday (May 31, 2008), at his home on Cole Road.

Friends may call Wednesday (June 4th) from 4 " 7 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday (June 5th) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Memorials in his name may be made to St. Michael's Church, 401 South Main Street, Newark, New York 143513.

Mr. Greco was born on September 29,1937, in Newark, the son of Joseph and Mary Phillips Greco. A plumber, he had worked for Lagana Plumbing for over 30 years. Joe and his brother Francis then operated Greco Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of St. Michael's Church. He served with the US Army from 1960 to 1963 and was a member of the August Mauer Post American Legion. Joe loved to go fishing and camping.

He is survived by his fiance Phyllis Wagner. He was a loving father and grandfather of three children Debbie (Mitch) Ruffalo of Newark, Julie (Steve) Roelands of Virginia Beach, VA., and Joseph P. (Penny) Greco of Newark and eleven grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother Anthony Ramos of Clyde, two sisters Catherine Bachman of Waterloo, and Marie Wilkie of Syracuse, several nieces, nephews and his ex-wife and friend Loretta Pollock of Hudson, Fl. Joe is predeceased by his parents and brother Francis Greco and a fiance Margaret Perrin.
