Lyons—Joseph J. Barnaba, 91, died Sunday (June 17, 2018) at the House of John in Clifton Springs.
A memorial service will be held at 6 PM on Friday (June 22nd ) in the Chapel at Clifton Springs Hospital, 4 Coulter Road, Clifton Springs.
Memorials, in his name, may be made to the House of John, 14 Spring Street, Clifton Springs, New York 14432.
Joe was born on July 16, 1926 in Binghamton, New York, the son of the late Angelo and Marie Scott Barnaba. He served in the US Army during World War II and in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Joe was an ammunition inspector for the Department of Defense working for many years at the Seneca Army Depot in Romulus. With his wife, they ran an antique store in Newark. They also loved to travel and go dancing.
He is survived by his siblings Jean DeLeo of Clyde, Ann Novak of TX, Samuel Barnaba of AZ and Anthony Barnaba of Lyons; Several nieces and nephews and close friends. Joe was predeceased by his wife Judith in 2016, two sisters Connie Rogers and Grace Robson; two brothers Gerald and Angelo Barnaba.
