Newark ---Judy A. Schade, 64, passed away on Tuesday (October 1st) at her home.
Friends may call from 4 – 7 P.M. on Tuesday (October 8th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark where a funeral service will follow at 7 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make a contribution in her memory, to the American Cancer Society, 1120 South Goodman Street, Rochester, New York 14620.
Mrs. Schade was born on November 17, 1948 in Newark, the daughter of Alan and Josephine Webster DeCann. She was a 1966 graduate of Newark High School and a member of the August Mauer American Legion Post Auxiliary. For over 30 years, Judy was a cook, waitress and bartender at the Corner Tavern in Newark, she retired last year.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Charles; two sons Paul (Autumn) Cole of Newark and Andrew “Steve” (Jeremy Jeppesen) Cole of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; a step-daughter Jessica (Angelo) DiGennaro of Norman, Okla.; three grandchildren Everett, Grayson and Quinlan Cole, five step-grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her mother Josephine Tierson of Batavia; a sister Mary Rumsey of Batavia; two brothers Alan DeCann of Geneva and Dale (Carol) DeCann of North Chili; several nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by a step-daughter Kimberly Schade Coombs.
