Waterloo/Newark—Kali Lin Montes, 20, passed away on Monday (December 12, 2016) at Geneva General Hospital.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM on Friday (December 16th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral Services will be held at noon on Saturday (December 17^th) at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Newark Cemetery.

Kali was born on May 11, 1996 in Sodus, New York, the daughter of Jose Montes and Patti Morgan. She was a Varsity Cheerleader at Waterloo High School, graduating in 2014. She was currently a full time nursing student at Finger Lakes Community College.

Kali is survived by her parents Patti Morgan of Waterloo, and Jose (fiancee Sabrina Camp) Montes of Clyde; two brothers Zachary Montes of Clyde, Joshua Morgan of Waterloo, a sister Kitalia Morgan of Waterloo, a step-brother Ryan Breen of Clyde, her grandmother Dora Garcia of Newark, a niece Elliana and nephew Jayden Morgan, several aunts and uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandfathers Jose Montes and Rodney Morgan, her grandmother Wendy Johnson and a step grandfather Jaime Garcia.
