Port Gibson---Kathleen M. Cole, 64, died on Monday (January 19, 2009) at her home.

Friends may call on Thursday (Jan. 22nd ) from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.. at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller St., Newark, N.Y. Funeral Services at the funeral home will be at 11:00 AM on Friday (Jan. 23rd) with the Rev. Darryl Powell officiating. Burial in the spring will be in Port Gibson Cemetery.

Memorials contributions in her name may be made to a Humane Society.

Mrs. Cole was born on November 27, 1944 in Auburn, the daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche Hastings Lannon. Kathy grew up in Clifton Spring and graduated from Clifton Springs High School. She attended the First Baptist Church in Manchester and was a member of the Palmyra Moose Club. Kathy had worked at Clifton Springs Hospital, Rochester General Hospital, Mobil Chemical, Dunkin Donuts when they opened in Newark and as home health care aide. The thing she loved best was babysitting for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years Richard "Dick" Cole, a son Robert M. (Rebecca) Szalay of Clifton Springs, a daughter Stefani M (John) Domm of Rochester, two grandchildren Nicole and Steven Szalay, a sister Diane Van Gorder of Wolcott and several nieces and nephews.
