Newark---Keith M. Brill, 85, died unexpectedly at Strong Memorial Hospital on Tuesday (December 30, 2014).
A celebration of Keith's life will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday (January 3rd) at the Park Presbyterian Church, Maple Court, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Mr. Brill was born on January 7, 1929 in Newark, the son of the late Jacob and Maude Woodhouse Brill. Graduating from Newark High School in 1946, he started his career with C.H. Stuart and Emmons Jewelry. Keith was sent to Providence, Rhode Island where he was the liaison between the company and its manufacturers. Returning to Newark, he headed Sarah Coventry Jewelry International until the closing of the company. He then went to work for Heluva Good Cheese as the sales manager for the next 27 years.
Keith was a sixty-year member of the Park Presbyterian Church, where he had been serving as the church treasurer and had served as a trustee. For the past seven years, he volunteered at Kelley School in the Grandma and Grandpa room. Newark Public School District recently honored him as the Volunteer of the Year. He was a member of the Newark Kiwanis Club. Keith was always ready to volunteer; some of the many organizations that benefited from his efforts were: Scouting, Meals on Wheels, United Way, Red Cross, and the Salvation Army.
Keith is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nadine, two sons John (Julie) of Wappingers Falls and Peter (Marietta) of Brooklyn; a daughter Leslie (John) Maloy of Woodbury, Minnesota; five grandchildren Jacob and Kathryn Brill, Tyler and Devin Maloy; Jack Woodhouse Brill. He was predeceased by a sister Marguerite Wilson and a brother Spencer.
