Newark—Kenneth Reifsteck, 85, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 at his home.

Family and friends may call from 11 AM –1 PM on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Paul L. Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark, NY. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Mr. Reifsteck was born in Holcomb, NY, on July 8, 1938, the son of the late Paul and Louise VerStreate Reifsteck. Ken was a diesel mechanic for STL Transportation in Port Gibson. In his spare time he enjoyed fixing friends and family’s cars.

He is survived his wife of 64 years Charlotte; a son Timothy Reifsteck; two grandchildren Brittney (Jeremy) Wood and Gregory Reifsteck; three great grandchildren Cali, Carson Reifsteck and Jaxon Wood; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Barbara Reifsteck in 2022; a brother and three sisters.
