Newark –Laura A. Santelli, 52, died Saturday (February 20, 2010) at her home.

          Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 on Wednesday (February 24^th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller St., Newark.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Thursday (February 25th) at St. Michael’s Church, South Main Street, Newark.  Burial will be in Newark Cemetery           

          Mrs. Santelli was born in Newark on October 6, 1957, the daughter of the late William and Loretta Bilotta VerDow.  She was an insurance verifier for Borg & Ide Imaging in Penfield.  Laura was a 1975 graduate of Newark High School and had attended Finger Lakes Community College.  She was past president of the Newark Colts and had been a board member of the Finger Lakes Youth Football Cheerleading League.  Laura enjoyed going to the casino and being with her family and friends.

A loving mother, sister, and friend, she is survived by her son Christopher and daughter Jennifer Santelli, a brother William “Bill” VerDow Jr., all of Newark, several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends; special cousins Myra Brown and Raphie Mamuscia, special friends Donna Bailey, Sandra Leonard, Jill Jones, Gigi Gonzalez, Sarah, Gavin and Nataliegh Buck, Justin Kirk and family.
