Lewis Ray Napoleon
Palmyra/Newark—Ray Napoleon, 54, died Tuesday (June 28, 2016) at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Friends are invited to call from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Friday (July 1st) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St. Newark, New York. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (July 2nd) at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
Memorials, in his name, may be made to The American Cancer Society, 1120 South Goodman Street, Rochester, 14620.
Ray was born on July 21, 1961, in Newark, the son of Louis Raymond and Caren Bain Napoleon. He was a 1979 graduate of Newark High School. Ray started his career in the trucking business, driving for his father. After his father's death in 1998 , Ray drove for Kraft Foods, Pal-Oil and later became the director of operations for Wadhams Enterprises for thirteen years. Most recent, Ray was the director of transportation for Superior Energy. He followed Trans Am racing cheering for his cousin's car. But most of all, Ray enjoyed being active with all his children's events including baseball with his son and Girl Scouts with his daughter just to name a couple.
Ray is survived by his wife of 20 years, Caroline “Callie” Mills Napoleon, his son Nicholas Avery Napoleon and daughter Jamie Rai Napoleon both at home; his mother Caren of Newark; four siblings Kathleen (Dean) Baker of Marion, Carl (Kay) of Shortsville, Christopher (Amy) of Newark and Raeanne (Craig) Keesler of Santa Barbara, CA; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Louis Raymond Napoleon.
