Lindorf H. “Lindy” Pulver
Newark/Williamson—age 93, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2013, after a brief illness.
Friends may call from 3-6 PM on Sunday (December 12, 2013) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday (December 16th) at the Park Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Newark Cemetery with Military Honors.

Mr. Pulver was born on February 4, 1920 in Newark, New York, the son of late Parke and Lulu Humeston Pulver. After graduating from Newark High School in 1937, he began work with the New York Central Railroad. In August of 1941, Lindy enlisted in the Army Air Corps where he served the remainder of World War II. Returning home from the service, he continued his job. with the railway, along with working with his father at Parke L Pulver & Son Sand & Gravel. Retiring from the railroad after twenty years, Lindy began his career with the Village of Newark as the Superintent of the Newark Cemeteries. He retired after twenty years with the village in 1982. In retirement, Lindy helped his wife at the Newark Granite Work for a couple of years and several other parttime jobs. He helped out at many volunteering jobs, Lindy was always volunteering and giving of himself, unselfishly to others.
Lindy was an Eagle Scout, a lifelong member of the Park Presbyterian Church; member of the August Mauer Post, American Legion and the Newark Fire Department, New York Central Hose Company #5.
He is survived by three children Linda (Russell) Barber, Gary (Karen) Pulver & Carleen (Vern) Frost; eight grandchildren Mark (Sharon) SanAngelo, Audra SanAngelo, Sean (Amie) McLaughlin, Matthew SanAngelo, Heather (Michael) Chapman, Erin (Josh)) Denton, Emily (Andrew) Herrell and Abigail (Will) Yearly; 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeased by his wife of 63 years, Maxine in 2006 and a great great grandson Jayden.
