Lois Jeanne “Jeannie” Ogrodowski

Newark—Jeannie Ogrodowski, age 92 into rest on Monday, January 22, 2018  at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to either the Wayne County Nursing Home Foundation, 1529 Nye Road, Lyons, New York 14489, or the Alzheimer's Association, Rochester Chapter, 435 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester, New York 14620.

A celebration of life will be held at the family's convenience.

She was born on March 23, 1925 in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Paul and Relem Inez (Vroman) Mayhew. For many years, Jennie was a cook at the Newark Country Club.

She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, Jeanne is survived by her children, Cynthia (Raymond) Pitts, Leeann Foss, Joyce Lewis, David Ogrodowski and Deborah Ogrodowski; her grandchildren, Michael Foss, Monica (Baha) Bagdadi, Alexandra Taylor, Andrea (Sean) Allen, Cassandra Hazlett, Daniele Ogrodowsiki, Andrew Ogrodowski, Garrett (Jennifer) Carlson, and Colleen Carlson; sisters Shirley Burke, Theresa (Thomas) Steinmetz; brother Vince (Darlene) Canosa; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, close friends and her extended family at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

Jeannie was predeceased by her husband Robert Ogrodowski, Sr.; daughter Patricia O'Neil; son Robert Ogrodowski, Jr.; grandson Michael Elardo; brothers Charles Mayhew, Timothy Canosa and Paul Mayhew, Jr.; brother-in-law Vincent Burke
