Lois O. Lind

Newark—Lois O. Lind, 84, of Grace Avenue, died Thursday (September 10, 2009) at the Clifton Springs Hospital.

          Funeral services for Lois will be at 1 P.M. on Tuesday (September 15^th) at the First United Methodist Church, South Main Street, Newark, New York.  Burial will be in Restvale Cemetery in Seneca Falls.

          Memorials may be made to either the American Diabetes Association, 160 Allen Creek Road, Rochester, New York 14618, First United Methodist Church, PO Box189, Newark, New York 14513 or Lollipop Farms, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, New York 14450.

          Mrs. Lind was born July 25, 1925 in Seneca Falls, the daughter of William and Olga Waldorf Yost .  She graduated in 1943 from Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls.  Lois worked several years in a law office in Seneca Falls before her marriage, then moved to Newark where she and her husband raised their children.  After the children were grown, she worked for several law offices in Newark before working for Mason Street Optical in Geneva.   She retired in 1983.  A member of the First United Methodist Church, she had belonged to their quilting group.  Lois loved to knit and quilt.

          She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Roland, several nieces and nephews.  Lois was predeceased by her two children Randolph in 2002 and Nancy Fritsch in 2004.
