Margaret "Peg" Clark

Newark"Margaret Clark, 88, of Edgett St., died Monday (February 21, 2005) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

Friends may call from 3-7 PM on Friday (Feb. 25th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Elton Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Foundation, PO Box 571, Newark, NY 14513 or the First United Methodist Church Living Memorial Fund, PO Box 189, Newark, New York 14513.

Mrs. Clark was born in Sodus on January 31, 1917, the daughter of William and Margaret Neverless Brown. She worked in the offices of C.H. Stuart and Sarah Covertry in Newark for over thirty years. A 68 year member of the First United Methodist Church, she had taught Sunday School and was active in the Rebecca Circle. She was a member and Past Matron of the Amitie Chapter 473, Order of the Eastern Star and a long time volunteer with the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sally and Dr. James Westfall of Newark, two grandchildren Tim (Sue) Westfall of East Wakefield, NH and Allison (Greg) Leach of Dover, NH, and a great grandson Griffin Leach.

Peg was predeceased by her husband Kenneth in 1993, two sisters and two brothers.
