Newark—Marie J. Wemesfelder, 82, died on Monday, March 15, 2021 at her home in Newark.

A private graveside service will be held in Marion Cemetery.

Memorials, in her name, may be made to St. Michael Church, 401 S. Main St., Newark, NY 14513.

Marie was born in Newark, NY on February 10, 1939 the daughter of the late Predent and Judith Gobeyn DeBoerdere. She graduated from Wolcott High School in the Class of 1958. She had worked at Agway Lumber in Clyde and Seneca Falls. She was a nanny for seven years and spent 14 years at Green Meadows Home Sales. She married Jerry on June 16, 1978.

She is survived by her husband Gerald “Jerry”; her children Richard (Debbie) Featherly, Lorie Ann Featherly, Annette Reintjes, Kathy Wemesfelder, Kirt Murray, and Tim Price; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and her loving puppy Sophia. She was predeceased by a daughter Kim Turner; two grandchildren Kyle Wemesfelder and Dylan Turner; two sisters Margaret Vanderbrook and Leona Donk.
