Newark"Martha Weaver, 79 died Sunday (February 3, 2008) at her home.

Friends may call on Wednesday (February 6th) from 4 to 8 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Father Mark Brewer will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Thursday (February 7th) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Mrs. Weaver was born on September 8, 1928 in Newark, New York, the daughter of Harry and Viola Hickey Douglas. She was a secretary for the Muth Insurance Agency for many years, retiring in 1992. Martha was a member of St. Michael's Church and the Newark Elks Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons Gary (Janis) of Livonia and Mark (Patricia) of Newark, four grandchildren Aaron (Michelle) Weaver, John, Katie Weaver and Jessica Wojtalewski, three great grandchildren Marissa Weaver and Evan and Logan Wojtalewski. Martha was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Harry in 2005, two brothers Russell and Donald Douglas.
