Newark"Mary A. Burm, 68, of High Street, on Friday (September 23, 2005) at her home with family by her side.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Monday (September 26th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Tuesday (Sept. 27th) at St. Michael's Church with Father Peter Clifford officiating.

Memorials in her name may be made to St. Michael's School, 400 S. Main St. Newark, NY 14513.

Mrs. Burm was born in Clifton Springs on September 26, 1936, the daughter of Joseph and Lucy Scherbyn Mattoon. She retired from Dr. Maressa's Office in 1999 after 30yrs of being a receptionist. Mary worked at St. Michael's church part-time for 15 years. She was a member of the Rosary Alter Society and a Communicant of St. Michael's Church.

Mary is survived by her daughter Vicki Denisi of Newark, four sons Thomas of Newark, Michael (Theresa) of Lakeworth Fl, Patrick of Newark and Stephen of Manhattan, four grandchildren Jennifer (Tim) Schmidt, Josh, Matt and Patti Burm, three great grandchildren, a sister Theresa Lyle Baker of Clifton Springs and two sister-in-laws. Mary was predeceased by her son Peter in 1991 and three brothers Joseph, William, and Charles Mattoon.
