Newark---Mary E. DePauw, 87, died Sunday (March 25, 2012) at the Orange City Nursing Home in Debary, Florida
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, on Saturday (June 16th) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark, New York. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery with full military honor. Memorials in her name may be made to St. Michael's Church, 401 South Main Street, Newark, New York 14513.
Mrs. DePauw was born on August 24, 1924 in Seneca Falls, the daughter of Raymond and Mabel Cuddeback Fox. During World War II, Mary served with the 1947th Service Command Unit of the US Army as a medical technician. She was a longtime resident of Newark and communicant of St. Michael’s Church before retiring in Sanford, Florida. In Florida, she was a communicant of All Souls Catholic Church and a member of the Sanford American Legion Post #53.
She is survived her children Gloria (Tony) Paddock of Debary, FL, Debra Bray (Dale Fixsal) of Sanford, FL, Richard (Janette) of Apollo Beach, FL, Phillip of Sanford, FL, Raymond (Nancy) of Newark, Gordon of Newark and Mike Swartz of Newark; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; a brother Walter Fox of Palmyra; several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 65 years Raymond “RC” in 2006' a brother Glenn Fox and sons William “Red” Reimer and Alton Dukelow.
