Newark"Mary H. Thompson, 88, died on Saturday (February 2, 2008) at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

Friends may call on Monday (February 4th) from 12-2 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark where funeral services will follow the calling hours at 2:30 P.M. with Rev. Dan Benedict officiating. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson was born on March 24,1919 in Warsaw, New York, the daughter of Nicholas and Ellen Newton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, helped her husband with the custodial duties and served on many committees over the years.

She is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Marvin in 1996 and several siblings.
