Mary Jane Mancuso
Newark –Mary Jane was received by God on her 79th birthday (December 24, 2012), surrounded by her family, at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
Friends may call 4 to7 P.M. on Friday (Dec. 28th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Sat. (Dec. 29th) at St. Michael’s Church, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
Memorials, in her name, may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620.
Mrs. Mancuso was born in Newark, the daughter of Thomas and Josephine Renaldi Policano. A communicant of St. Michael’s Church, she volunteered on the rummage sales and was a member of the Martha Ministries. After graduating from Newark High School, Mary Jane spent several years, at New York Telephone as an operator and in the offices. She retired from Fold Pac where she had also worked in the office. Mary Jane enjoyed her household, gardening and her family.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Vincent; daughters Sandra (Steven) Frackenpohl of Skaneateles and Terri Mabon of Marion; four grandchildren Abby and Alex Frackenpohl, Joseph and Mary Mabon; a brother Thomas (Virginia) Policano of Newark; sister-in-laws Joan Policano of Syracuse, Mary Harris of NC. and Erma Mancuso of Newark; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary Jane is predeceased by an infant brother John and a brother George Policano in 2012.
