Newark---Mary Jane Scutella, 78, died Thursday (February 15, 2007) at the Clifton Springs Hospital.

No prior calling. Father Peter Clifford will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday (Feb. 20th) at 10 AM at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Memorials in her name may be made to the St. Michael's Church, 401 South Main Street, Newark, NY 14513 or to the Alzheimer's Association, Rochester Chapter, 435 E. Henrietta Rd, Rochester, NY 14620.

Mrs.Scutella was born on February 7, 1929 in Newark, the daughter of Lewis C and Mary Torche Ross, Sr.. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church. At one time, she was employed at Sarah Covertry. Mary Jane retired from the Newark School District where she had worked for many years in the Kelley School cafeteria.

She is survived by a brother Lewis (Nancy) Ross, Jr. and a sister Katherine (Bernard) Celso all of Newark, several nieces and nephews. Mary Jane was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, John J. on November 5, 2006 and two brothers Robert Ross and Phillip Ross.
