Palmyra/Newark"Mary Jayne LaVilla, 68, died Friday (August 10, 2007) at the DeMay Living Center, Newark.

Friends may call on Monday (August13th) from 4-7 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 7 P.M . Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester.

Mrs. LaVilla was born on February 8, 1939 in DuBois, Pennsylvania the daughter of Walter and Mary Lacny Check. Mary Jayne worked at 3M in Rochester for 30years where she was a systems analyst, retiring in 2004.

She is survived by a daughter Deborah (James) Judd of Buffalo, two sons Mark of Canandaigua and Rick (Rhonda) of Newark, four grandchildren, a sister Carmelita (Irene Chambers) McClain of Newark and brother Walter Check of Hilton. Mary Jayne was predeceased by her parents and her husband John LaVilla in 1987.
