Newark—Mary Kay Colacino, 60, died Tuesday (August 18, 2009) at her home.

          Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Friday (August 21^st) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday (August 22^nd) at the funeral home.   Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

          Memorials in her name may be made to either the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, New York 14489 or to LifeTime Care Hospice, 1120 South Main Street, Newark, New York 14513.

          Mrs. Colacino was born on October 19, 1948 in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Frederick and Winifed Burt Serens and moved with her parents to Newark as an infant.  Mary Kay worked in the cafeterias in the Newark School system for over 34 years, retiring in 2004.

          She is survived by her husband Bernard Jr. “Butch”, son Bernard III “BJ” of Rochester, three grandchildren Miquela, Brook and Brandon, a sister Linda Williams of Newark, sister-in-law Vera Serens of Ocala, FL, several nieces and nephews, and a dear friend Julie Sergent.  Mary Kay was predeceased by her daughter Stacy in 1996 and a brother Frederick Serens in 2004.
