Newark- Mary Jones Palmater, 81, passed away on Wednesday (October 9, 2013) at the DeMay Living Center.​Friend may call from 5 – 6 P.M. on Monday (October 21st) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark where a funeral service will be held at 6 P.M.  

​Mrs. Palmater was born on April 28, 1932, the daughter of the late Willington and Edith Cameron Green.  Mary retired from the Newark Developmental Center, where she had worked for over thirty years.

​She is survived by a granddaughter Melissa Jones, a family friend Leilani Cadden both of Newark.  Mary was predeceased by her first husband Robert Jones and her daughter Sandra Jones.
