Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, on Tuesday (February 19th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Mark Brewer at 10 AM on Wednesday (February 20th) at St. Michael's Church, 325 South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in the St Columbia Cemetery in Caledonia

Mrs. Heverin was born on March 27 1904, in Lima, New York, the daughter of Dr. John and Mary "Minnie" Finigan Morrisey. A graduate of Newark High School and Albany State Teachers College, she taught English and was a librarian in Woodridge, New York. For many years, Mary was a communicant of St. Michael's Church. Mary was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society and the Legion of Mary. She had been active with the Friends of the Library at the Newark Public Library and had a passion for books.
She is survived by four daughters Mary Elizabeth of Los Angeles, Alice "Pat" Mooney of Cleveland, OH, Margaret (Michael) Faul of Phelps, Kathleen (David) Sambora of Brewster, NY and a son Terence ( Rosalie) of Elma, NY, 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1977, two siblings Katherine Doane and Joseph Morrisey.
