Melvin E. Teeter
Newark–Melvin Emory Teeter, 70, died Sunday (November 7, 2010) at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
A celebration of Melvin’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
Mr. Teeter was born on August 28, 1940, in Sodus, the son of the late Martin and Irma Respalie Teeter. He was a self-employed auto mechanic. Melvin worked many handyman projects and delivered the Newark Penny Saver.
He is survived by his wife Doris, sons Christopher (Bonnie) of Hannibal and Clifford of Red Creek; daughter Amber (Randy) Abbott of Wolcott, stepdaughter Jennifer Thompson of Seattle, Wa.; daughters Charlene Cutaia of Mesa, Az, Candy Stapsky of Newark, Chrystal Sanders of Wolcott; six grandchildren Skyler, Zoe, Matthew, Noah, Marie and Sheyanne; stepmother Joan Teeter of Wolcott; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife of 41 years, Diane in 2009, a son Charles, brother Martin and sister Louise Herrington.
