Muriel Meade Holdridge
Fair Haven/Phelps—Muriel M. Holdridge, 96, died Saturday (February 26, 2011) at the Newark-Manor Nursing Home.
All funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Butler Savannah Cemetery.

Mrs. Holdridge was born October 3, 1014, in Watertown, the daughter of the late Henry and Lela Meade. She was raised in Clyde and graduated from Potsdam Normal School. Mrs. Holdridge taught kindergarten in Savannah for many years. She was active in many organizations including the Eastern Star and the Boy Scouts. Muriel always enjoyed entertaining friends and family, particularly her nieces and nephews. She was very active in the Fair Haven Yacht Club and was its first woman director. She loved to go boating with her husband on their boat Mur-Don. In later years, she was very active in the Home Owners Association at their retirement home in Brooksville, Florida.
Muriel survived by two sons David M of Fair Haven and Richard A. of Newark; two grandsons and two great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Donald S. and her daughter-in-law Carol.
