Newark ---Nancy Palmatier, 79, of Davis Drive, died Sunday (May 15, 2005) at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Wednesday (May 18th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will be at 11 AM. on Thursday (May 19th) at the First United Methodist Church, South Main Street, Newark with the Rev. Dr. Elton O. Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Penn Yan.

Mrs. Palmatier was born June 16, 1925, in Auburndale, Massachusetts, the daughter of Alfred D. and Charlotte Birkett Becker. She was a 1942 graduate of the Penn Yan Academy and has lived in Newark the last 40 years. Nancy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Newark where she was treasurer of the UMW for many years. She delivered meals with Meals on Wheels for over 32 years and was active with Friends of the Newark Library.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Donald E., her children Kirk Palmatier of Washington, DC, Durry (Brian) Lincalis of Relay, Maryland and Kern (Mark) Michal of Efland, North Carolina; five grandchildren Grady and Katarina Lincalis, Cade, Kody and Cass Michal; and three nephews. Nancy was predeceased by a brother Alfred Becker and a sister Clare Reed
