Wesel Frost, Norma J.
Newark—on August 12, 2011 at age 86. Survived by her husband George Frost, daughters Kathy (Carl) Christensen of Oceanside, CA, Beth (Gary) Wildey of Palmyra, Jane (Calvin) Byam of Meridian, ID; sons Donald (Kim) Wesel of Lacey, WA, and Mark (Susie) Wesel of N. Syracuse; 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; a sister Winifred Sherk of N. Tonawanda; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband John Wesel, her parents Percy and Elizabeth Jones Jones, her step-mother Hannah Jones and grandson Jedediah Byam. Mrs. Wesel was born in Niagara Fall, NY on Feb. 6, 1925. Norma served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in many capacities. She had worked as a secretary in the transportation department for several years with the Greece School District. She had earned a degree from Monroe Community College in Human Services. An avid tennis player, Norma had been a gold medalist in the NYS Senior Olympic Games.
A memorial service will be at 7 PM on Sunday August 14th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 954 Sohn Alloway Road, Lyons, NY. Memorials in her name may be made to LDS Perpetual Education Fund, 15 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84150 or the Autism Society of America, 4340 East-West Hwy, Suite 350, Bethesda, MD 20814.
