Newark---Pauline Louise Williams, 99, passed away on Saturday (December 20, 2014) at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday ( Dec. 24th) at 11 A.M. at the Paul L Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller St., Newark, NY. Burial will follow in Newark Cemetery.

Pauline was born on May 23, 1915 the daughter of Leo and Louise DeBaere Soliman in Newark, NY. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Newark. Pauline was a loving and supportive mother. She valued education as she had given up her schooling at age14,

to be the cook and housekeeper after her mother's passing. She always regretted not having been able to finish school. Her insight and knowledge belied her lack of formal education. Family and friends were blessed with the tastes and smells of her wonderful cooking and baking abilities, be it dutch lettuce, fried chicken, cream puffs, tea rings or any of the other of the pleathura of specialities.

She had been a member of the Arcadia Senior Citizens and had volunteered at their crafters boutique. She enjoyed friends, traveling, music, painting, and especially her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her two sons Wayne (Marlene) Williams and Ronald (Carol) Williams, a daughter Sharon (Gilbert) Mayo; two daughter-in-laws Karen Sardisco Williams and Sharon Griswold, grandchildren Brian (Terry) Williams, Keith Williams, Lynn (Joe) Firendino, Cheryl (Kevin) Graham, Michele (Gary) Worek, Andrea ( Christopher) Cornett, Christine (Jeffrey) Kyles, Scott (Tammy) Williams, Jill Williams, Steve (Lynn) Mayo, Penny Mayo, Ian Williams, several great grandchildren, a sister Margaret Soverhill and nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her husband Ashley Williams; a son Norman Williams; her siblings Carl and Vincent Soliman, Leona O'Shea and Dorothy DenDecker.
