Pearl E. Weeks
Red Creek/Newark—Pearl E. Weeks, 78, died Wednesday (February 2, 2011) at Clifton Springs Hospital.
Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. Monday (February 7th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 7 P.M. with Rev. David Decker officiating.
Memorials in her name may be made to the American Lung Association, Finger Lakes Region, 1595 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, 14620.
Mrs. Weeks was born February 10, 1932, in Rochester, the daughter of the late Edgar and Mary Crandel DeForge. For several years, she was a seamstress at Hallagan Manufacturing and also was a home health aide for Genesee Regional Home Care. Pearl and her husband attended the Assembly of God Church in Martville. Over the years, Pearl did volunteer work for the Hospice at Genesee Hospital, Civil Air Patrol, Meals on Wheels and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Newark.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Robert C. Weeks of Red Creek; children Donald (Tina) Orlopp of Newark, Arthur Orlopp of Sodus,Yvonne (Larry) Jordan of Depauville, Renee (Michael) Drock of Newark, David Orlopp of Newark, Jay (Wanda) Orlopp of Manchester, Dennis Orlopp of Ca., Diane Doyle of Ontario, Robert (wife Pamela Good)Weeks, Jr. of Rochester and Constance Beamer of Livonia; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; two brothers Robert (Sandy) DeForge and Clayton (Donna) DeForge; several nieces and nephews. Pearl was predeceased her first husband Donald F. Orlopp in 1985, a granddaughter Kathy Orlopp, her step-mother Mae DeForge and two sisters Margaret Diamond and Shirley Bump.
