Newark—Penelope J. Natale, 74, passed away peacefully on Monday (February 16, 2015) after a long and courageous battle with C.O.P.D. at the DeMay Living Center.
Friends may call from3-7 P.M. on Thursday (Feburay19th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family

Penny was born on February 13, 1941 in Rochester the daughter of the late James and Marian Switzer Nichols. After graduation from Monroe High School in Rochester, Penny worked as a secretary, dental assistant, and a model. Between raising four sons, she assisted her husband in the operation of Penelope's” Restaurant in Newark and “Penelope's on the Lake” in Canandaigua.
Penny will be greatly missed by those who came in contact with her. Always in high energy and motion. Her great love in life was entertaining and the close relationships she shared with her family and friends. A great cook who loved to prepare meals for her family. She also was noted for her style in the way she went through her life.
Penelope is survived by her husband of 50 years, Philip, Son James of Newark, Donald of Boulder, Co., Philip (Kate) of New York City and Anthony (Chrissy) of Newark, seven grandchildren, Alexis, Camyron, Garrett, Aiden, Karina, Emilia and Philip “PJ”; a brother John (Carlie) Nichols of Franklin, NC and a sister Jane (Harry) Meredith of Powell, TN; many nieces and nephews.
