Newark—Peter V. Calviera, 61, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Laurel House Comfort Care Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael Church, 401 S. Main St., Newark, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name, may be made to the Laurel House Comfort Care, 224 Fair Street, Newark, New York 14513.

Peter, born in Newark, NY on September 2, 1959 was the son of the late Victor and Barbara Wiltsie Calviera. He graduated from Newark High School with the Class of 1977. In 1984 he earned his law degree from the University of Miami. He was a huge sports buff and was a passionate fan of the Miami Hurricanes, the Golden State Warriors and the New York Giants. He also loved spending time on the Florida beaches.

Mr. Calviera is survived by a son Alex Jordan Calviera of Canadaigua; two sisters Laurie Calviera of Irondequoit, Vicki Calviera of Myrtle Beach, SC; nieces and nephews Jesse Daniels, Brandi (Steve) Minnamon, Coty Calviera, Brooke Gisel; a great niece Luna Young; two great nephews Liam Minnamon and Carter Young; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
