Newark –Portia M. Paone, 88, died Friday (October 8, 2010) at the DeMay Living Center.

          A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm on Tuesday (October 12^th

) at St. Michael’s Church, South Main St., Newark.  Burial will be in Newark Cemetery. 

          Memorials in her name may be made to St. Michael’s Church, 401 South Main Street Newark, New York 14513.

          Mrs. Paone was born November 26, 1921, in Newark, the daughter of Peter and Mary Parisi Buragina.  She was retired from Fold Pac where she had worked for many years.  Portia was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church. 

          She is survived by three sisters Ann (Carl) Conklin, Angeline (John) Yaniri and Jeanette (Paul) Staples all of Newark, a brother James Buragina of Syracuse; several nieces and nephews.  Portia was predeceased by her husband James in 2005.
