Raymond M. Shove Jr.
Newark/Marbletown, Raymond M. Shove Jr., 80, passed away Saturday (September 17, 2011) at the Clifton Springs Hospital with his family by his side.
Friends may call Wednesday (September 21st) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark. A funeral service will be at 11 am on Thursday (September 22nd) at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Palmyra Cemetery.

. Mr. Shove was born on June 28, 1931, in Geneva, the son of the late Raymond Sr. and Lillian Beal Shove. He served his country in the army, stationed in Germany. Ray worked as a meat cutter for Star Market. He was an active Marbletown fireman and a Boy Scout leader for many years. He enjoyed being a DJ and loved camping.
Raymond is survived by Elizabeth Mullen; daughters Connie (Rick) Nesbitt of Indiana and Barbara Pentycofe of Newark; son Terry (Lori) Shove of Rochester; stepson Terry (Chris) Mullen of Canandaigua; grandchildren Jennifer (Rick) Walters of Maine, Robert (Angie) Nesbitt of Michigan, Sarah (Paul) Chapman of Rhode Island, Tim Shove of Phelps, Nicole Jewell of Alaska, Justin Pentycofe of Lyons, Kyle and Blair Mullen of Canandaigua, and 15 great grandchildren.
