Newark—Rebecca S. Cronin, 59, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at her home.

Funeral services will be private.

Rebecca was born in Newark, on October 30, 1964, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary Tyrell Dumas. She worked many places over the years but spent fifteen years working in the cafeteria at Newark Senior High School. In her spare time she loved playing computer games, coloring books and baking and cooking for her beloved family and friends. She was happiest when she was spending time with her grandchildren. 

 She is survived by her life partner Gregory Chapman; five children Michael Cronin, Charles ( Mandy Parrish) Cronin, Melissa (Rob) Kersten, Aaron (Regina Miller) Chapman, Matthew (Sara McGraw) Chapman; nine grandchildren; a sister Christine Dumas; a brother Rory Dumas. She was predeceased by a sister Sandra Hunt.
