Newark—Richard A. Holdridge, 68, passed away on Sunday (March 30, 2014) at the House of John in Clifton Springs.
Friends may call from 2-6 P.M. on Saturday (April 5th ) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Newark Cemetery.

Mr. Holdridge was born on August 15, 1945 in Auburn, the son of late Donald and Muriel Meade Holdridge. A 1963 graduate of Red Creek High School, he went on to earn a business degree from SUNY Canton. Rich embarked on many careers over the years, he was an agent for NY Life Insurance; owned the Nice-N-Easy Store on Newark's South End and the Ponderosa Restaurant on West Union Street. He was a long time member of the Newark Country Club and for a few years was the manager. For the last 15 years, Rich has been a real estate agent with Nothnagle , here in Newark. Rich recently serving as President of the Newark Arcadia Historical Society. He was also a member of the Newark Rotary; served on the board of the Newark Chamber of Commerce and was a Past President for the Wayne County Chapter, American Cancer Society.
Rich is survived by his two sons Mark and Brent (Kim) both of the Dallas, Texas area; two grandchildren Caleb and Carly, a brother David of Fair Haven. He was predeceased by his wife Carol in 2010.
