Rochester—Richard J. Griffin, 89, passed peacefully into Glory Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Laurel House Comfort Care Home in Newark.

A private memorial service will be held later this summer.

Richard was born in Rochester, NY on September 6, 1931 the son of the late Edward and Leona Haegel Griffin. From 1950 until 1954 he served his Country in the U.S. Air Force. He is a retiree from Eastman Kodak where he was a design engineer.

Mr. Griffin is survived by four daughters Peggy Salisbury of VA, Jean (Ken) Trost of Rochester, Susan (Jay) Syracuse of Rochester, Janice (Brian) Bater of Bergen; a son Richard (Susan) Griffin of Webster; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Laurel House.
