Newark—Robert Eberl, 91, died on Saturday (June 10, 2017) at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

Friend may call from 3 to 7 PM on Tuesday (June 13^th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday (June 14^th) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark, New York 14513. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Robert was born on May 29, 1926 in St Marys, Pa., the son of the late Joseph and Rose Weinzierl Eberl. He graduated from Central High School in St Marys, Pa. in 1944 and joined the Army servicing in European Theater during World War II. Bob earned his bachelor's degree in Science from Duquesne University and Master Degree in Education from Penn State and Masters in Science from RPI. He taught science for twelve years in St Marys and moved to Newark in 1963 where he taught Science and Physics at the Newark High School until his retirement in 1986. Bob was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Newark and a member of the St Marys Council Knights of Columbus.

Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Grace, and daughter Mary Louise Eberl of Victor. He was predeceased by three sisters and a brother.
