Palmyra/Newark"Robert J. Case, 88, of Palmyra died on Tuesday (October 3, 2006) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Friends may call from 7-9 P.M. on Wednesday (October 4th) and 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Thursday October 5th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Friday (October 6th) at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the East Newark Cemetery.
Memorials in his name may be made to the one's favorite charity.
Mr. Case was born on August 1, 1918, in Phelps the son of Charles and Bessie Gleason Case. He was the plant manager with Beckens Poultry Farm retiring in 1981. Bob served with the US Army in Italy during World War II and was a member of the Arcadia Memorial Post VFW and the August Mauer Post American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Eleanor, three sons Robert (Sharon) of Keuka Park, James of Newark, George (Ann) of Palmyra, three daughters Patricia (Kenneth) VanNorman of Sodus, Sandra (Leonard) Van Haneghan of Palmyra, Linda (Timothy) Bevis of Clifton Park, a daughter-in-law Janice Case of Newark,; nineteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great greatgrandchildren, two brothers Donald (Marci) Oswego, Leon (Beverly) of Newark, a sister Edith Ryan of Newark, many nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by a son William, two grandsons, a daughter-in-law and eleven siblings.
