Newark----Robert L. Collier, 87, died Wednesday (July 23, 2014) at his home.
Friends may call from 5 – 7 P.M. on Tuesday (July 29^th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark where funeral services will follow at 7 P.M. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Bob was born on July 6, 1927, in the Town of Arcadia, the son of Lawrence and Evelyn Heinrich Collier. He lived on the same property his entire life, attended the Rochester School for the Deaf and had worked at local nurseries. Bob had volunteered thousands of hours at the Newark Manor Nursing Home and the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. He was often seen walking his dog around the neighborhood. A caring and giving man, Bob had helped others in any way he could throughout his life.

He is survived by his sister Dorothy Fisher of Rochester, a nephew Donald Fisher of Boston; a niece Dorinna Fisher and nephew Michael Fisher both of Rochester, a great nephew Daniel Wellin.
