Rocco M. Scutella
Newark—Rocco “Rocky” Scutella, passed away Thursday (September 5. 2013) at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Friends may call from 4 – 7 P.M. on Sunday (September 8, 2013) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Father Felix Dalimpuo will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Monday (September 9, 2013) at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark. Entombment will be in White Haven Memorial Park.

Mr. Scutella was born August 21, 1933, in Newark, the son of Michael and Angeline Rossi Scutella. Upon graduating from Newark High School in 1952, he entered the US Army where he served two years in Korea during the conflict . Rocky was a member of the August Mauer Post American Legion and a was a member of St. Michael Church. Rocky had worked for the Geneva/Rochester Labor Union #103. He enjoy his dogs, hunting and fishing and tending his lawn.He was a great fan of the NY Giants, the Yankees and horse racing.
Rocky is survived by his wife of 57 years, Florence (O'Brien); two sons Steven (Donna) of Rochester and David (Laurie) of Webster; three grandchildren Jamie, Joseph (Palmateer) and Nick Scutella; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers John,Domonic, Nicholas and sisters Helen Balick, Josephine Kopp and Mitilda Lenhart.
