Ronald I. “Butch” Plain, Jr.
Newark- Ronald I. Plain, Jr., 64, died Sunday (November 24, 2013) at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 P.M. on Tuesday (November 26th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark where a funeral service will follow the calling hours with Rev. Carlos Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairville Cemetery.
Mr. Plain was born on September 16, 1949, in Canandaigua the son of Ronald and Lucille Atkinson Plain, Sr. He had served his country with the US Marines in Viet Nam War. In recent years, Butch worked for Key Industries and previously had driven taxi here in Newark, worked at McDonalds and for Canandaigua Wines.
He is survived his companion Mary Kenyon, five children Marsh (Sergio) Plain-Olivera, Kerri Plain, Ronald (fianee Paula), Danielle (Quinton) Plain all of Newark and Matthew Plain of Sodus; nine grandchildren; his father Ronald Sr. of Livonia, an aunt that raised him Marjorie Christensen of Newark, a brother Albert Plain of Canandaigua, two sisters Gloria (C.J.) Smith of Lyons and Sherry (Mike) Horan of Honeoye Falls; several nieces and nephews. Butch was predeceased by his mother Lucille and his wife Sandra in 1998.
